Our Story
Prof. Trilochan Sastry, a renowned advocate of the "Right to Information" movement and former dean of IIM Bangalore, had a heart-felt aspiration to better the lives of small and marginal farmers. This led him to establish the Centre for Collective Development (CCD) and Farmveda, aimed at providing support and uplifting the livelihood of farmers at the grassroots level. He envisioned a future where these farmers would receive fair value for their crops, attain self-sufficiency and economic independence, thereby elevating their standard of living. With passion and dedication, he set out to turn this dream into a tangible reality for the farmers.
At Farmveda, we source fresh produce from farmers and use it to create a diverse range of high-quality packaged foods, including Ready-to-Cook Mixes, Ready-to-Eat Products, Condiments, Chocolates, Edible Oils, and more. Farmveda shares all the profit among the farmers in the process transforming them as entrepreneurs.
